Trafalgar Square - The Fourth Plinth

Okay, this has nothing to do with photography.  It's just something I really wanted to share.

There are four plinths in London's Trafalgar Square.  (A plinth is a base or platform upon which a statue is normally placed.)  As it turns out, one of the four plinths (know as the Fourth Plinth) is empty.  Please watch the video above to see what artist Antony Gormley wanted to do with the Fourth Plinth in his project entitled One & Other.

The New York City Waterfalls

In 2008, there was a public art project in New York called the "New York City Waterfalls".  There were four man-made waterfall constructed around New York City.  The photos above are of the waterfall that was constructed under the Brooklyn Bridge.  Here's a link to the project's website showing how the waterfalls worked.

A Detour from NYC: Ants in Atlanta

As I do most every year, I flew down to Atlanta to spend Christmas with my family.  When I flew down in 2006, I came across this very original art installation in the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.
