A Day at Auburn

I was at the Auburn football game yesterday to see my nephew play in the marching band.   Here are some of the photos from the day:

These trees are called the Oaks at Toomer's Corner (there's a drugstore called Toomer's kitty-corner from the trees).  The trees are a historic landmark on the Auburn campus.  It has been become a tradition to "roll" (as in toilet paper "roll") the trees after Auburn football victories.  A couple years back the trees were poisoned and Auburn is doing what it can to save the trees.

The fly-over before the start of the game.

Info on Auburn's War Eagles here.

 Fumble!

Auburn's mascot, Aubie, conducting the band.

As you can tell from the trees, Auburn won its game against Alabama A&M.  Unfortunately, bad luck for the trees continued when the toilet paper on the trees caught fire early this morning.
